Nortel enthusiastic about wide portfolio
Hyperconnectivity is a theme Nortel will seek to drive heavily at GULFCOMMS 2007 given the sheer number of connected devices now available.
Nortel is looking forward to GULFCOMMS 2007, given its ever-broadening portfolio of telecoms and enterprise products and solutions.
On display at its show booth this year will be an array of solutions including unified communications for converged data networks, unified security architecture, management and security solutions, mobility architecture, intelligent environment and SMB-focused converged voice and data solutions.
"We will also have a focus on the ICA - Innovative Communications Alliance - between Nortel and Microsoft for all SMB, enterprise and carrier segments," comments Middle East marketing manager, Hassan Hamadani.
"We will mainly focus our presence at GULFCOMMS 2007 on showing the importance of ‘hyperconnectivity', a new era in which anything that can be connected to the network will be connected, encompassing person-to-person communications, person-to-machine and machine-to-machine," he adds. Nortel believes that it is this hyperconnectivity that is fuelling the huge increases in demand for bandwidth here in the region.
Another focus at the show will be the scalability and reliability of Nortel's offerings, including its carrier IMS solutions, WiMAX technology and products, as well as other carrier solutions such as NGN, carrier VoIP, SIP/Centrex solutions, and carrier Ethernet and PBT.
