Microsoft steps to the Forefront

Microsoft Gulf recently appointed Intertec Systems as a security partner to help promote its Forefront range of business security products.

Microsoft Gulf recently appointed Intertec Systems as a security partner to help promote its Forefront range of business security products. This signifies a strategic move from the company to push its security range.

Intertec Systems has been a Gold Certified Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Partner of Microsoft for a while now.

Microsoft Forefront is a line of business security products that provides greater protection and control through integration with existing IT infrastructure and through simplified deployment, management and analysis.

Forefront's set of security products integrate with an organisation's IT infrastructure and can be supplemented with interoperable third-party solutions. Simplified management, reporting, analysis and deployment enables an organisation to more effectively protect information resources and provide more secure access to applications and servers.

Desmond Nair, server group manager at Microsoft said: "We are certain that as a security partner of Microsoft, Intertec would be able to do the same kind of work with the Forefront range of products as they have done with our other application suites in the past."

Forefront products for servers are optimised to protect Microsoft-based application servers through a strategy incorporating access control, data inspection and multi-engine anti-malware products tuned to safeguard sensitive data.
