HP has unveiled a new special edition Pavilion laptop, which is aimed squarely at fashion conscious women buyers in the region.

HP has unveiled a new special edition HP Pavilion laptop, which is aimed squarely at fashion conscious women buyers in the region.

The firm’s white DV 6298ea entertainment notebook was unveiled at a ladies-only press conference held in Dubai today.

The laptop is part of HP’s Imprint line and comes with Windows Vista Home Premium edition pre-installed. Its key features include an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 120Gbyte hard drive and a 15.4-inch LCD screen.

Elena Danici, PSG (Personal Systems Group) product manager for HP Middle East, stated: “This new Special Edition notebook is designed to meet the needs of busy, professional women looking for stylish, state-of-the-art technology that not only looks great, but performs well too.”

In terms of connectivity, the DV 6298ea features WiFi, Bluetooth and three USB 2.0 ports. On the software front, the notebook includes HP Photosmart Premier for photo editing and Norton Internet Security 2007.

Users who purchase the US $1634 laptop will also receive a free red laptop bag, which includes an HP ceramic mouse and special edition headphones, featuring an integrated microphone. The laptop is currently in stores. According to the HP, there are 4,000 units currently available in the region.
