Zebra shows new stripes for GITEX

Zebra Card Printer Solutions is wowing the crowds at GITEX with its new P340i desktop plastic card printer and encoder, a dual-sided addition to the popular Performance range of card printers.

The ability to print on both sides offers options for designing more functional and attractive personalised identification, security, gift and loyalty cards. More printed information can be added and larger photographs used for easier visual identification. The P430i uses a patented card feeder system that utilises the weight of the card stack itself to provide consistent feeding.

A range of card thicknesses – from 10ml to 60ml – are supported and card feeder capacity can be increased by the addition of an input feeder extension. Cards that fail to encode correctly are automatically sent to a reject bin before printing.

Zebra has recently tied up with Dubai-based Online Distribution for the regional firm to distribute Zebra’s card printers. Online already provides the vendor’s barcode printing solutions, and the addition of the card printers greatly increases the range of products.

“Online Distribution has a proven ability to serve the Middle East region and we look forward to our successful partnership,” says John Timman, director of sales EMEA at Zebra.
