Networking and internet access vendor US Robotics has continued its executive makeover with the promotion of Peter Blampied to VP international sales and operations EMEA.

Blampied’s current role as director of sales EMEA will be extended to give him responsibility for sales and operations in all regions outside of North America, including Europe and the Middle East. Operating remotely from the UK, his duties will comprise all marketing activities and EMEA product management.

Additionally, as part of the USR management team’s revamp, VP engineering Molly Baars has been promoted to VP global operations while corporate controller Kevin Pfau is set to assume the position of VP and chief financial officer.

Newly-installed CEO, Steven Dalrymple, commented: “These appointments are part of our long term growth plan for US Robotics. As vice president of sales and operations abroad, Peter will be able to direct strategic initiatives, better focus on the goals for our international business, and ensure our partners have the tools they need to be successful.”

US Robotics recently revealed that 2006 sales in the Middle East should increase by more than 60% on last year’s figure after launching a reseller programme at the end of 2005 and carrying out a review of the region earlier this year to reinforce its expansion in the region.
