ADMS appointed new Avid training centre
Avid has appointed Applied Digital Media Services (ADMS) as the primary Avid Authorised Education Centre in the Middle East.
Avid has appointed Applied Digital Media Services (ADMS) as the primary Avid Authorised Education Centre in the Middle East. At IBC, Avid confirmed its latest professional training partnership with ADMS, which operates out of the Knowledge Village in Dubai.
“ADMS has been established with a wide vision in providing professional digital media training services in video, audio, visual effects and animation,” says Mohammed Khasrow, president of ADMS. “We provide practical training and creativity with a hands-on workshop atmosphere conducted by qualified instructors. We cover the Middle East and North African region targeting corporate and professional consumer market segments, and we have affiliated ourselves with prominent institutions in digital media training in the United States and Europe.”
ADMS offers a wide range of Avid authorised training courses such as Avid Xpress Pro, Media Composer/Adrenaline News Cutter, and Avid DS Nitris. “Our mission at ADMS is to help develop newly qualified generations of professionals in the video, audio, visual effects and animation industry,” says Khasrow.
Speaking about the deal between Avid and ADMS, Avid’s UK and EMEA training manager, Karl Williams, says: “With this new relationship, we seek to extend our training deliverables through ADMS and increase the presence and benefit of training in the region.”
ADMS claims that it is the first AAEC accredited training facility in the Middle East.
“We believe that the immediate benefits of having a facility like this here is that it offers our regional clients significant savings in travel time as they would no longer need to travel to Europe or the USA for this certified training,” says Mather Al-Ali, sales manager at Avid Middle East. “We also anticipate that ADMS will contribute to increasing the editing and finishing skills of the local Middle East editors and NLE users.”
The course curriculum at ADMS is developed by Avid’s team of experts.
