“Our global growth over the past few years has been remarkable,” says Thomas Swidarski, president and CEO at Diebold. “We have increased our international revenue to more than US$1 billion annually, grown to nearly 90 countries and introduced major new products globally.”

In early September 2006, Diebold promoted James Chen to lead all sales and services operations in EMEA in addition to his responsibility leading the Asia-Pacific theatre. Chen joined Diebold in 1998 as corporate VP and managing director for the Asia-Pacific region based out of Shanghai

Diebold offers a range of software and service-based solutions designed to improve the operation of self-service networks, to provide reliable security monitoring, or to help customers concentrate on their core business functions by having Diebold manage a portion of their operations.

Diebold claims that it can deliver solutions that run the gamut from ATM screen design to driving an ATM network to implementing the latest advanced functionality for ATMs including both web-based features and also ticket purchasing.
