Distributor and PC manufacturer Sky Electronics will be shining the spotlight on its AMD-based ‘Expression’ PCs at Gitex this year and endeavouring to help its channel partners sell these solutions at the highest levels by meeting key decision makers during the event.

“Components distribution business has always been our core business, which of course we’re still doing, but both us and AMD realised that someone has to deliver the AMD brand in a PC line, and with the right features. This is our Expression line,” says Sky Electronics’ managing director, Manoj Thacker.

This extensive and fast-growing range of ‘Expression’ branded computers includes business PCs, home PCs, systems aimed at the education segment, small office PCs, plus Sky’s burgeoning line of Expression gaming solutions and its own server line.

“We’ve been doing quite well in hypermarkets across the GCC region,” says Thacker, “as all the power retailers have accepted our brand as a powerful local AMD brand.
Now we want to reinforce the good work we did at Gitex Saudi earlier in the year.”

Sky Electronics has been participating in Gitex for over ten years and Thacker claims the show remains the top regional IT gathering.
