French software company WinSoft is heading back to Gitex this year to show off a brand new Adobe InDesign solution aimed at the Arabic publishing market.

The company, which helps software vendors such as Adobe Systems regionalise their offerings as well as developing its own software products (such as WinFile), has conceived its ‘Tasmeem’ offering with Arabic users specifically in mind.

“This exclusive Arabic publishing system makes Adobe InDesign Middle Eastern Edition the most comprehensive Arabic typesetting and design tool in the industry,” claims WinSoft’s CEO Pierre Blangero. “Tasmeem gives back to Arabic book producers indispensable high-quality typesetting for literary and academic publications,” he adds, “offering them professional tools to shape prose, poetry, traditional and educational texts.”

“Other design professionals might use Tasmeem to produce magazines, newspapers and advertisements, while corporate users will be delighted to discover Tasmeem’s effective protection of their investments in proprietary typography.”

WinSoft has extensive experience in the adaptation, localisation, production and local distribution of major software brands for non-Roman-language countries; experience which includes its long-standing strategic partnership with Adobe Systems. As such, in addition to premiering Tasmeem at Gitex this year, WinSoft will also introduce the latest version of Adobe’s Acrobat 8, which was launched in September.

Blangero and his team will also outline a brand new partnership the firm has agreed with FileMaker Inc. As such, visitors to WinSoft’s stand will have the opportunity to learn all about FileMaker Pro 8.5, which was announced back in July of this year. This easy-to-use database for Windows and Mac platforms helps users manage people, projects, assets and more.

“Gitex is a unique opportunity each year to show our products to customers, to meet our resellers and find new ones, and to organise face-to-face business meetings,” concludes Blangero.
