Al Elm ready to impress

Saudi Arabia’s Al Elm Information Security is set to showcase its innovative range of home-grown e-business solutions from Saudi Arabia at this November’s Gitex 2006 event in Dubai.

“The nature of services offered by Al Elm Company are technical, developmental and national ones that set the new measures for the level of electronic civilization lived by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which emphasises the understanding of partnership in objectives more than the understanding of selling and purchasing,” says Dr Khaled bin Abdel Aziz Al Ghoneim, president of Al Elm.

The company is at the forefront of providing electronic and e-business services to citizens and visitors in Saudi Arabia. One of Al Elm’s most high profile projects is to provide an electronic Hajj visa service for pilgrims, in a bid to ease the strain on national government departments in KSA.

Al Elm has also developed an internet e-portal to improve communication between traffic departments and insurance companies. Parties using the site can perform a number of services, including registering vehicles, inquiring about fines, sharing customer information between organisations, and receiving information and updates from the traffic department itself.

“We have executed more than 68 million electronic operations during the last five years,” adds Al Ghoneim.
