Geekay preps mega gaming experience for Shopper

Games retailer readies demos of the latest games and accessories, along with cutting-edge heavyweight consoles from Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft

Dubai-based electronic games retailer Geekay Games will be raising the hype for all those avid gamers keen to preview the latest games releases.

Geekay’s stand will feature games galore as visitors will be able to use game-stations at the stand to try out new titles while special offers exclusive to Gitex Shopper and Consumer Electronic Expo 2006 will be available to everyone keen to purchase hardware, software and gaming accessories.

The focus on gaming will give the company a chance to raise the profile of its retail concept, which the company’s managing director, Kishan Palija, claims is the most advanced and gamer friendly in the market.

“Our stand will feature a host of gaming options for visitors to get their hands on the latest consoles and titles,” he says.

“At the same time this provides us with a unique branding opportunity and also bolsters sales on the back of consumers taking advantage of the sales offers provided exclusively at Gitex Shopper.”

Consoles will include the mighty Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, Playstation PSP, Nintendo Game Cube, and its new flagship Wii and a host of gaming-enabled PCs.

Titles available will include Dead Rising and Faces of War among others. And don’t forget the wealth of accessories that will be available at cut-prices for visitors to customise their gaming experience in the most radical way possible.
