Summit brings top chefs to Dubai

The Grand Gourmet Summit has summoned world-renowned chefs and winemakers to showcase their work in Dubai next month.

The Grand Gourmet Summit is set to bring over world-renowned chefs and winemakers to Dubai next month.

Having secured the rights to present the event for the second year running, the Grand Hyatt Dubai will host sessions including cooking classes and winemaker dinners throughout
its restaurants.

Taking place between November 6 to 11, some of the chefs scheduled to appear include owner and chef de cuisine at Chez Dominique in Helsinki — Finland’s only two Michelin-starred restaurant —Hans-Henrik Välimäki. Working alongside chefs from Manhattan Grill, chef Hans-Henrik will be teaming up with Cakebread Cellars, which will provide wines from the Napa Valley.

Toronto-based chef Sur Lee will join forces with Pascal Jolivet, presenting his cuisine alongside wines from the Loire region at Peppercrab, and chef Greg Malouf will be unveiling his latest cookbook, Saha: A Chef’s Journey through Lebanon and Syria, at Awtar. Massaya Wines will also be displaying its wines from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, as well as Italian-based Marchesi de Frescobaldi.

Other chefs scheduled to attend include Scott Webster, Mike Tafe, Ajoy Joshi and Zahi Azzi.

“Visitors will have the opportunity to witness cooking demonstrations and attend seminars and dining events hosted by our team of master chefs and world renowned winemakers,” commented Peter Fulton, general manager, Grand Hyatt Dubai.
