Tenders for enabling package expected in August with the main construction contract in September
UAE-based property developer, ETA Star is expected to invite bids for the enabling package on its US $191 million (AED700 million) commercial tower, The Summit, in August, followed by bids for the main construction package in September.
Construction on the project is expected to begin in November this year with an estimated completion date of June 2009.
The Summit is a 38-storey commercial tower located between Dubai Media City and Dubai Marina. Colliers International has been appointed as the consultant, while Singapore-based Architect 61 is the architect.
Abid A Junaid, executive director, ETA Star, said: “The main construction package will most likely be awarded in November this year with tenders going out by September.”

Comprising four basement floors, a ground floor for commercial space, six parking podiums and 31 floors of office space, the tower will offer a total of 420 small office units ranging from 102m2 to 112m2.
