BenQ has introduced six new DLP projectors to the region, including the CP120, which the firm claims is the world’s smallest projector.

The CP120 – aimed at the region’s mobile professionals – features a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and a weight of 1.3kgs. It also boasts a contrast ratio of 2000:1 along with wireless support.

The next projector in line is the CP220, which weighs 1.8kg and boasts a brightness rating of 2200 ANSI lumens, which BenQ reckons makes it a good choice for those who wish to make presentations that are easily viewable, even in brightly lit rooms.

In addition to the CP120 and 220, the firm unveiled the MP770 - a portable digital projector, which features a 2000:1 contrast ratio, an XGA native resolution of 1024 x 768 and optional wireless support.

For home movie buffs, there was the W100 - a high-end home theatre projector, which offers a quoted lamp life of 3000 hours, a 53.3” wide-angle lens and the firm’s proprietary ‘Senseye’ technology, which is designed to automatically improve image quality by adjusting brightness, darkness and reducing jagged edges.

The final two models in the line-up are the PB8253 and the 8263, both of which feature a 2000:1 contrast ratio and a quoted lamp life of 2000 hours (in normal mode). The PB8253 however features a brightness level of 4000 ANSI Lumens, while the 8263 features 3500 ANSI Lumens.

The CP120, 220 and MP770 will be available in stores for US $1634, $1362 and $2198 respectively. The W100 is priced at $817 whereas the PB8253 will sell for $2452 and the PB8263 for $2588.
