eSys Technologies to expand into data retrieval

eSys Technologies, which claims to be the fastest growing IT component distribution network in the world, is preparing to launch eXtract, an advanced disaster recovery service aimed at customers who have accidentally reformatted their systems, deleted important data, or been affected by virus attacks and power outages.

eSys Technologies, which claims to be the fastest growing IT component distribution network in the world, is preparing to launch eXtract, an advanced disaster recovery service aimed at customers who have accidentally reformatted their systems, deleted important data, or been affected by virus attacks and power outages.

“Every business and organisation can experience a serious incident resulting in data loss, which can prevent it from continuing normal operations. This can happen any day, at any time,” explained the director of eSys for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Pavan Gupta. “The potential causes are many and varied, and prevention is not always possible. However, the eSys eXtract service allows customers to recover valuable data, and provides a security blanket in the event of a crash,” he added.

eXtract is billing its soon-to-be-rolled-out solution as a value added service for eSys’ consumers, as the firm looks to expand on its storage solution expertise by moving into data recovery and support.

“eXtract can be used for data recovery from any type of HDD and operating system, and essentially serves as a data safety net,” said Gupta.

eXtract can be used for data recovery from any type of hard disk and operating system, with the process taking an average period of between six and eight days. eSys will provide the eXtract service to customers in the event of data loss, with charges varying to reflect the extent of damage and effort of recovery. The firm is also planning to set-up e-mail and telephone hotlines.
