Al Sulaimi Group gets real-time access to critical data

Al Sulaimi Group of Oman has gone live with a new enterprise solution that provides management with a single point of access to real-time information.

The group, whose trading activities span engineering based products in the fields of fire, safety and security, automotive and industrial has deployed 3i Infotech’s ORION ERP throughout the company’s headquarters in Oman as well as Salalah and the UAE.

The group had been experiencing problems such as delayed access to critical information with its former legacy system. Management identified a need for an integrated enterprise information system to enable company managers to become more responsive and keep manpower time wasting and costs at a minimum. Reporting and analysis of information was also vital to the business, hence the need for an ERP system that streamlines the group’s diverse business requirements on a single fully networked IT platform.

“With the completion of this project, we feel confident that we now have a competitive advantage with online communication across all our businesses,” said Firoz Jariwala, executive director, Al Sulaimi Group of Companies. “The result is timely access to key information and better responsiveness capabilities when handling customer enquiries and orders.”

ORION will provide Al Sulaimi with enhanced process and resource management capabilities as well as seamless interaction and collaboration with every constituent of the enterprise – customers, business partners, employees and vendors, according to, Kalpesh Desai, chief operating officer, 3i Infotech, Europe, Middle East & Africa.

“Al Sulaimi Group will start experiencing better decision making capabilities, greater cost and time savings now that ORION has gone live across the group,” he said.
