Aramex wins Tech Data logistics bid

Aramex was recently contracted to handle the logistics and warehousing for global IT distributor Tech Data.

Aramex was recently contracted to handle the logistics and warehousing for global IT distributor Tech Data. The logistics specialist fought off stiff competition from some of the biggest operators in the sector to win the business.

The new tie-up builds on an established partnership that had seen Aramex manage Tech Data deliveries within the UAE and along its freight lines from Jebel Ali to the rest of the GCC and Levant.

Under the terms of the new contract, Aramex will handle all Tech Data’s warehousing and logistics in its recently opened AED 26 million logistics centre in Jebel Ali Free Zone. It will also carry out all clearance, delivery, storage, inventory management, and order processing.

“As the region’s leading IT distributor, we require efficient and seamless logistics solutions for our complex and critical distribution requirements across the Middle East,” said Mike Vosper, operations director, Tech Data. “In selecting Aramex to manage our logistics and warehousing processes, the key driver was quality and reliable services that Tech Data stands for. In Aramex we found a solid partner that will further strengthen and improve our distribution capabilities.”
