With Gitex Saudi Arabia 2006 now well underway, Riyadh Exhibitions Company has revealed that it expects the number of visitors to surpass last year’s total of 94,000, with 100,000-plus a realistic target for 2006. With major vendors such as Toshiba, Xerox, Dell, Intel, SAP, Sun, Acer, Sony, Fujitsu Siemens, Humansoft and Kodak all taking part, this year’s show has become a ‘must attend’ event for business buyers, vendors, partners and even consumers in the Kingdom.

Mohammed Al Husseni, vice president of Riyadh Limited Fairs Company, says: “We are witnessing this year in Gitex Saudi a development in the kind of services provided through a cooperation between Dubai World Trade Centre, which organises Gitex Dubai, and Riyadh Limited Fairs Company. This is mirrored in the huge number of companies participating to offer their latest portfolio [to the market].”

Now firmly established as the largest IT trade show within Saudi Arabia, this year’s Gitex has been organised for the fifth year in a row by the Riyadh Shows Company with the cooperation of Dubai World Trade Centre and the Commercial Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh.
