HP partners showcase latest IPG solutions

Jarir Bookstore, eXtra and PC Net are playing a pivotal role assisting vendor giant HP to showcase its full range of imaging and printing group (IPG) products to visitors at this year’s Gitex Saudi Arabia.

New printing solutions offering improved performance, integrated networking and enhanced paper handling are on display as HP targets discerning consumers and small and medium businesses (SMBs) through its Saudi retailer and business partner network. The newly launched HP LaserJet 3000 All-in-One series features prominently on partner stands at this year’s show.

“Increasing productivity and efficiency while saving money and desktop space has always been a critical need of our SMB customers in the Kingdom,” explains Amr Hassan, general manager IPG at HP Middle East. “The new HP LaserJet 3000 All-In-Ones were designed to provide SMBs with professional printing, faxing, copying and scanning capabilities in one very affordable space-saving machine.”

With the Kingdom’s market for imaging and printing solutions continuing to develop at lightning pace, HP and its partners see fantastic potential for sustained sales growth in 2006 and beyond as customers of all sizes look to take advantage of the innovative technologies now available in the market.

“Saudi Arabia is the largest market by far in the region,” continues Hassan. “The way that the market is transforming at the moment is incredible — it is like a tornado. We have doubled the number of people that we have in Saudi Arabia to reflect the size of the opportunity that exists for further growth. HP is probably now the largest IT vendor in terms of workforce commitment to Saudi Arabia,” he continues.

Hassan expects sales in Saudi Arabia to continue growing at approximately 20% per annum and believes that the business sector represents a prime opportunity.

“We have seen more customers at an enterprise and an SMB level move towards colour printing as it becomes more affordable,” he adds.

Gitex Saudi Shopper visitors calling in at the stands of retailers such as Jarir and CompuMe will find a full range of HP IPG consumer solutions on display. HP and its partners will be asking Saudi consumers to strike a pose with HP’s latest Photosmart R927 digital camera. With an impressive 8.2 megapixel resolution and 3x optical zoom, the slim model offers a wealth of advanced features. “Experts from HP and its partners are on hand at the show to help visitors learn more about how HP products can help them take that perfect shot, whether it be for business or pleasure,” explains Hassan.

“We are committed not only to delivering the latest and greatest technology, but also to understanding consumer needs,” he adds. “The emotional link that we build with customers is very important to HP.”

This week’s show gives HP partners the chance to reinforce the emotional link.
