Mishaal Al Sudairy Office for Commercial Services (MSO) has a significant presence at Gitex Saudi Arabia this year.

“This year’s Gitex is a big show for us and we have a larger presence than last year so that we can push some of the new products in our portfolio such as MGE’s UPS products,” explains Mishaal Fahad Al Sudairy, president at MSO. “We’re also showcasing some of the other vendors in our portfolio such as Microsoft, Symantec, Targus, Logitech, AMD and Acer.”

“The actual stand is approximately 70 square metres. It is important for us to be here for the vendors that we represent. We are also on the lookout to recruit additional resellers in new areas for us that reflect how our portfolio has evolved — this means recruiting VARs, retailers and partners capable of selling turnkey solutions to end-users,” he continues.

MSO now has some 40 staff in the Kingdom and also boasts operations in Jebel Ali in the UAE. The distributor holds most of its stock in Riyadh but also has fast-moving kit on the ground in Jeddah and Khobar.

“Saudi Arabia is now a very competitive market and margins are under pressure. As a distributor it is all about speed of delivery and stock availability. MSO has achieved annual growth of 22% and we are confident that this will continue,” says Al Sudairy. “There is a strong spending climate in Saudi Arabia driven by the public sector. The spending is happening across all market sectors — from the large accounts to the SOHO space and in the consumer segment as well,” he concludes.
