Jordinvest upgrades to IP telephony via Avaya

Jordanian public shareholding company Jordinvest has upgraded its comms infrastructure to an internet protocol telephony (IP) telephony system from Avaya.

Jordanian public shareholding company Jordinvest has upgraded its comms infrastructure to an internet protocol telephony (IP) telephony system from Avaya.

In an effort to enhance client relations, Jordinvest has installed IP telephony throughout its Amman headquarters. According to the firm, the update will ensure faster, more efficient and cost effective means for communication between Jordinvest staff and their clients.

The new technology will also establish a direct communication process between employees working within different Jordinvest departments, increa sing the level of productivity, enhancing collaboration and transfer of data, Avaya said.

“A fast growing firm like ours must be ready to handle the expansion and the large client base,” said Ahmad Tantash, chairman and CEO of Jordinvest, stating that the new development is in line with the organisation’s belief in being both proactive and responsive to latest technology in the world.

“We need to be able to provide our clients with immediate responses to all their inquiries and that is why it is important for us to periodically update our methods of operation. The communication system we have just installed was a mandatory requirement for an advancing firm like Jordinvest,” he added.

The use of IP telephony, said Jordinvest, will allow the company’s clients and its staff members to communicate with one another in a quicker manner regardless of their geographical location whether in Amman or abroad. Relevant news regarding investments will also be communicated quicker, which the firm said will allow a greater level of transparency in all its dealings. The telephony system has now gone live.

“Success in the Middle East’s financial services sector is linked to both customer satisfaction and the ability to reduce operational costs,” said Nidal Abou-Ltaif, managing director for Avaya in the Middle East and North Africa. “Jordinvest’s decision to migrate to IP telephony will both enhance customer relations and lower the organisation’s communications investment,” he went on to add.
