Wade Adams has taken a US $16.3 million (AED60 million) contract to build a new two-lane bridge at the Wimpy Al Futtaim Interchange in Dubai.

Wade Adams has taken a US $16.3 million (AED60 million) contract to build a new two-lane bridge at the Wimpy Al Futtaim Interchange in Dubai.

It will ease the flow of traffic from Al Aweer Road towards Nad Al Hamer Road, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

“We expect to begin construction by the end of this month and we have been given 12 months to complete the work,” said a Wade Adams spokesperson.

The project will coincide with the completion of the fourth interchange, which aims to link Deira with Bur Dubai through Dubai Festival City, via a bridge over the Creek. The bridge will consists of six lanes towards Bur Dubai and seven lanes to Al Rabat Road in Deira.
