HP works with partners for PSG presence at Gitex

Vendor giant HP will leverage its valued channel community to ensure that its full range of products and solutions are displayed at this year’s Gitex.

“It is a very channel-centric go-to-market model for HP in Saudi Arabia,” says Anil Gandhi, personal systems group (PSG) general manager at HP Middle East. “We will showcase our most recent products and solutions with multiple partners to represent our total offering.”

HP has recently added more people to its Saudi Arabian operation taking its headcount in the Kingdom past the 70 mark. The vendor remains committed to building up its in-country resources even further in the market.

“I am extremely bullish about the Saudi market,” continues Gandhi. “I see it as our single largest opportunity in the region and as we get more investment dollars, a significant amount of this will go into Saudi Arabia.”

“For 2006, the Kingdom remains the fastest growing market in the region. High oil prices and the government surplus are creating a strong economy and we are witnessing an explosion in consumer demand. If you take a country of 24 million where people want to try new things such as the internet, you get massive growth opportunities,” Gandhi concludes.
