Software giant Microsoft has named Sherif Bayoumi as country manager for its operation in Bahrain. Bayoumi will manage all of Microsoft’s operations in Bahrain and hold responsibility for driving growth in the market.

“Microsoft is strongly committed to growth and development of the IT industry in the Kingdom, and to providing opportunities to help the people of Bahrain to benefit from technology. I am very pleased to be taking on this role, and I look forward to working with our customers and partners in Bahrain to create further growth for the country,” said Bayoumi.

Microsoft first opened an office in Bahrain back in 2002 and today has 14 staff based in country. The vendor works with many of the largest public and private organisations in Bahrain, helping to build up the IT economy and enhance productivity and profitability.
