Hardware vendor NEC teamed up with Intel and Microsoft for a recent channel seminar held in Dubai, designed to showcase a range of innovative IT security solutions to resellers and customers. Almost 50 partners and customers, gathered together with the help of Al Yousuf Computers — one of NEC’s distribution partners in the region — attended the event.
The Dubai event formed part of an NEC international tour that started in France in March 2006 and is scheduled to conclude in June in Russia.
Michel De Bievre, executive director at NEC Computers International, said: “Security is a key issue everywhere these days and more so in the enterprise sector. NEC takes security very seriously and is really pleased to be joined by Intel and Microsoft to present security solutions that work and are easily implemented.”
The seminar focused on Intel technologies for system stability and security, NEC’s enterprise security solutions with live demonstrations and a Microsoft presentation on security solutions for workstations.
“NEC Computers has a complete range of business solutions from the SOHO level through to SMB, up to the large enterprises,” said Lenia Iacovides, managing director at Interfrontiers, NEC’s business development partner for the Middle East.
“Seminars like this allow partners like Al Yousuf Computers and their customers to focus on NEC’s core strengths and move towards offering complete solutions,” she added.
NEC Computers’ product portfolio spans PCs, notebooks, servers, storage and tailor-made IT solutions for enterprise customers. The vendor, which has design and manufacturing operations in France, sells its solutions across EMEA and Latin America.
