Jumeirah to host celebrity chefs

Celebrity chefs are set to descend on Dubai for a week of gastronomic delights

Jumeirah has announced that it will be hosting Dubai’s first Festival of Taste, a week of culinary events featuring world-renowned celebrity chefs from May 21-26. Highlights of the biannual event include a ‘1001 Nights Meet the Stars’ opening event, a series of gourmet nights, cooking classes and a caviar and diamond evening at the Burj Al Arab.

Celebrity chefs due to appear include Hans Haas, Gary Rhodes, Sam Leong, James Martin, Michel Roux, Jean Christophe Novelli and Yannick Alleno.

The chefs, a mixture of TV personalities and Michelin star chefs, will be posted in outlets across the Jumeirah company, with Gary Rhodes in Napa, Al Qasr; Hans Haas in Vus, Emirates Towers and James Martin at the Wharf, Madinat Jumeirah.

“Dubai has earned its reputation for being a world centre of culinary arts and lifestyle, and the Festival of Taste promises to be one of the world’s most creative, colourful and international food and lifestyle events,” commented Willi Elsner, group director of restaurants and bars, Jumeirah.
