Zamil bags steel job

Zamil Steel has won a US $9.2 billion (KD2.6 billion) contract to supply fabricated structural steel products and process equipment for Kuwait Oil Company’s OL2K Ethylene Project.

Zamil Steel has won a US $9.2 billion (KD2.6 billion) contract
to supply fabricated structural steel products and process equipment for Kuwait Oil Company’s OL2K Ethylene Project.

The company’s structural steel business unit will manu-
facture and supply pipe racks and large pressure vessels
as a subcontractor to Technip of Italy, the main contractor on the project.

“Production is scheduled to begin imminently and delivery of structural steel and process equipment works is expected to be completed between the end of the year and the first quarter of 2007,” said Ayman Kanaan, general manager, structural steel business unit, Zamil Steel.
