Forum on emerging IT standards and solutions
A special two-day forum on emerging IT standards and solutions to be held in Abu Dhabi this week (March 20 and 21) will discuss the possible solutions to various concerns in the UAE IT sector.
A special two-day forum on emerging IT standards and solutions to be held in Abu Dhabi this week (March 20 and 21) will discuss, clarify and address, through technology demonstrations and customer case studies, the possible solutions to various concerns in the UAE IT sector.
The event is being organised by systems integrator. ITQAN in conjunction with the UAE General Information Authority and is to be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi Planning and Economy Department.
The seminar has attracted interest from senior managers from major UAE corporations including the oil and gas sector, Abu Dhabi Government departments, Federal organisations, banks, Etisalat, and Thuraya. General Information Authority, as a joint supporter of the event, has already confirmed the attendance of senior IT decision makers from all sectors.
“We are pleased to join ITQAN to present the latest technology applications to enable our staff in the various government departments to stay ahead of the times and help in the growth augmentation of the UAE,” said Sami Mohammed bin Adi, Director Information Systems, General Information Authority. “This is an opportunity for us to educate our workforce on the practical use of the latest innovations in IT.”
Vendor speakers include representatives from Microsoft, HP, Cisco, Opentext Dicom, and BiP. Also addressing the seminar will be leading representatives from existing ITQAN customers who will be presenting case studies on current implementation and use of IT solutions in their business.
“We want to provide a platform to showcase case studies and demonstrate the benefits of using some of the emerging IT solutions,” said Feras Al Jabi, GM, ITQAN. “Some of our customers have agreed to personally demonstrate their use of technology and its benefits in the form of case studies at the forum.”
