Saudi-based IT distributor Advanced Integrated Media (AIM) has demonstrated its retail point-of-sales display prowess with innovative display stands for Creative digital device products in Hyper Panda, one of the Kingdom’s major IT retail chains.
The display stand forms the backdrop to a road show for Creative products that will present the latest products to consumers throughout the Kingdom and provide clarification and explanation of the new technologies shaping the evolution of digital devices.
55-strong AIM, part of Saudi IT conglomerate National Technology Group (NTG), now has active credit lines with 350 resellers in the Kingdom and operates out of three primary sales branches.
AIM is just one of 15 ICT businesses controlled by NTG. The conglomerate also includes corporate systems integrator Arabic Computer Systems (ACS) and IT services provider ITS under its corporate umbrella. NTG is also playing a major role in opening up new IT purchase financing schemes to consumers in the Kingdom.
ACS Easy Finance, run in conjunction with Banque Saudi Fransi, has launched a settlement card programme called Al-Yaseer, which specialises in sales to end-users of PCs, notebooks, printers, mobiles and related accessories. The card enables authorised customers to purchase a range of listed products with monthly payments ranging from between six months and three years duration. IT retailer CompuMe has just signed up to offer Al-Yaseer Easy Finance as an option for consumers at its outlets in the Kingdom.
Away from NTG’s retail and financing operations, ACS has now been awarded Sun Microsystems accredited co-delivery partner (ACP) status in Riyadh. Following training at Sun’s technical development centre in Johannesburg, ACS has gained accreditation to install and support Sun’s UltraSparc II, III and IV range of servers up to the SunFire 6800/6900.
According to NTG, Sun is confident that the co-delivery model using ACS alongside Sun’s backline support organisation will deliver noticeable value-added services to customers.
