US-based Savi Technology, a provider of RFID supply chain solutions, has signed a regional partnership with Middle East IT solution development and outsourcing services provider Simtix to support its sales and marketing efforts in the region.
Simtix currently has Middle East offices in Jordan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Established in 2001, the company has built up a solid customer base including major companies such as Saudi Arabian Airlines and Aramco. Simtix works with a number of key vendors including Intermec, Lawson Software and Maximizer and is also a certified partner of both Microsoft and Sun.
The agreement with Simtix is just one of a number of regional agreements Savi has put in place outside the United States to extend its global reach. The company has also signed up partners in Australia and India. Savi’s RFID solutions assist with the management and security of supply chain assets, shipments and consignments.
“We’re eager to leverage the local connections, expertise and experience of leading firms in these diverse markets to help drive Savi’s RFID-based solutions for both the commercial and government sectors in locations our partners know best,” said Chris Stephenson, Savi’s senior VP marketing and alliances.
“We have already begun to work closely with them to ensure they’re knowledgeable about our solutions and the value Savi provides for improving the management, security and efficiency of supply chain assets, shipments and consignments,” he added.
Savi claims that its integrated RFID hardware and software solutions drive business value through the reduction of supply chain assets, inventory and operational costs. The company reckons that its offerings meet the needs of defence and government organisations as well as global shippers, manufacturers, retailers and suppliers.
