Al Busaidy quits Oman Air

Abdulrahman bin Harith Al Busaidy has resigned as CEO of Oman Aviation Services Company, Oman Air's holding company.
In a statement issued to Oman’s Capital Market Authority, the company’s chairman, Said bin Hamdoon bin Saif Al Harthy, said that the board of directors had accepted the resignation of Al Busaidy on 28th June. However, he will remain in his position until the end of August.
During Al Busaidy's tenure, Oman Air has grown into a significant player in the local market, including the purchase and introduction of a fleet of six Boeing 737s. The company has already recorded strong results of late, posting net profit of US $1.6 million last year versus a net loss of $3.4 million in 2003.
