Air Arabia renews its contract with InteliSys
InteliSys has had its contract with Air Arabia renewed to provide the carrier with its internet-based flight reservation and management system.
InteliSys Aviation Systems of America has renewed its contract with Air Arabia to continue providing the carrier with its internet-based ‘amelia’ flight reservation, distribution and sales channel management system.
The agreement renews an original contract that was signed in 2003, with the new contract in place for: “a number of years into the future,” said a statement.
“Almost two years ago we originally selected the amelia system based on the system’s functionality and features. Now our due diligence also shows a high level of satisfaction among the InteliSys users,” said Adel Ali, CEO, Air Arabia.
“Since then, InteliSys’ amelia system has enabled us to capture specific market opportunities and deploy sales channels that may not have been possible otherwise. This allows us to bring added value to our customers in a service package that continues to gain momentum in the region,” added Ali.
“We are very pleased to have the relationship between our two companies reinforced. We knew the western Low fare model would not be workable in these emerging markets as there are fundamental differences in the way these carriers and their customers interact. As such, the amount of experience we have acquired in this market since 2003 is tremendous,” said Ralph Eisenschmid, CEO InteliSys.
“By working in partnership with Air Arabia, we adapted the amelia system’s distribution model and created new tools to specifically accommodate the travelling public and the travel trade in this region,” added Eisenschmid.
