Hotec set for strong return to region

After a successful launch in Cairo last year, Hotec Middle East is gearing up for an even stronger event in 2005.

After a successful launch in Cairo last year, Hotec Middle East is gearing up for an even stronger event in 2005. The annual business meetings forum for the Middle Eastern hotel industry will take place in Oman at the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental, from April 14 to 16.

This year’s event will bring together senior executives from 50 hotel companies and owners in the Middle East and Africa with 60 operating suppliers and FF&E companies from all over the world.

“The Hotec concept has been fully embraced by the Middle East delegates, and we are confident that the 2005 forum will facilitate even more business between buyer and supplier than was achieved last year,” says Jonathan Needs, director of Pelican Events Ltd, the UK-based event organisers.

At Hotec, event operators are all given designated meeting tables for the duration of the forum where they conduct pre-selected meetings with manufacturers wishing to develop group business.

Hotec Middle East will also feature a seminar programme from key figures in the industry. Hosted by media sponsor, Hotelier Middle East, the seminar will include ‘The power of branding in the hospitality industry’ by Amine Moukarzel, from Flamingo Hotel Management and Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts, and, ‘An overview of new hotel projects in the Middle East’ from Guy Wilkinson of The Consulting House.
