TechNet addresses industry issues

The series of seminars will focus on industry issues and help IT professionals manage their business requirements.

Microsoft’s annual road show, which kicked off today, will target developers and IT professionals in the UAE, Oman, Pakistan and Yemen. The TechNet road show, for IT professionals, and the Microsoft Developer’s Network (MSDN) road show for developers, consist of a series of one-day seminars where speakers will discuss the key issues facing the technology industry today.

MSDN will primarily discuss the needs of developers who wish to update their technical expertise and discover alternative methods for speeding up work processes and balancing workloads. The topics covered during MSDN will range from information on web development to developer and architectural tools.

In addition, MSDN is designed to help developers accelerate code writing and manage the entire IT lifecycle more effectively. It will also concentrate on the way in which certain Microsoft technologies can be of assistance. Topics are selected to provide a clear understanding of how to secure IT environments and deliver mission-critical solutions effectively, while achieving a higher return on investments.

Commenting on the event, Haider Salloum, marketing manager for Microsoft South Gulf, says the goal of the road show is to empower people working in the IT industry and provide them with capabilities such as personal and team productivity tools, which are critical to businesses today. “We are also committed to helping them assist their customers to connect their systems, processes and people,” he adds. “Microsoft is committed to educating and providing support to these professionals, and to providing information and knowledge exchange that will help them to realise their full potential.”
