Will supply and install 658 passenger conveyance systems for Dubai airport expansion project

ThyssenKrupp Elevator has won a US $100 million order to supply and install 658 passenger conveyance systems for Dubai airport expansion project.

It is currently the biggest airport project in the world. A total of 368 elevators, 162 escalators and 128 moving walks are to be supplied over the next four years.

“We are very proud that our quality and technology won out against international competition and that we were able to meet our customer’s extremely demanding requirements,” said Gary Elliott, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG.

In June, ThyssenKrupp Elevator was awarded a $50 million order for 117 passenger boarding bridges for Dubai airport, 25 of them for use with the new Airbus A380.
