Layout ME woos regional publishers
Layout Middle East is showcasing new software and peripherals at Gitex, with the aim of attracting new business from regional publishers
Layout Middle East is demonstrating new publishing software and peripherals at Gitex, which it hopes will help it grow its business with publishing companies across the region.
"With a rich product line to be unveiled at the exhibition, we are expecting to close big deals," says Joe Karkour, general manager, Layout Middle East, "especially with the growing publishing market in Arab countries. Our aim is also to build high market awareness for future sales and to preserve our lead position in DTP software publishing."
Layout Middle East is the sole regional distributor of
Quark products and Layout Ltd. of Beirut, Lebanon. It also distributes hardware products relevant to pre-press and publishing companies, such as Microtek Scanners and EIZO Color Management monitors, and is Quark's Authorized Training Center in the Middle East. Layout handles distribution via a number of resellers, which it claims are already aggressively active in the region.
According to Karkour, Gitex is "the largest and most important I.T. event of its kind in the Middle East" and he believes the show is "the ultimate platform" to unveil Layout ME's latest software innovations and technologies. "We are confident that our new array of software will impress business visitors who are in search for professional solutions, especially those in the pre-press and printing industries," he adds. "Gitex reflects the growing potential of the Arab printing industry and outlines the importance and phenomenal growth of the IT industry as well. This is of great importance for us."
Layout ME will be showcasing its full product line-up at Gitex with live daily product demonstrations at its booth. In addition to promoting that stalwart of the professional publishing scene, QuarkXPress, Layout will also be displaying the award-winning ArabicXT 6.x, a new copydot scanning solution for Adobe Photoshop named RepliDot 1.1, and a new suite of software solutions from Layout Ltd's Beirut office named Job Management System (JMS), which has been designed to facilitate the smooth transition of all print jobs from design stage to print stage.
