iMac G5 unveiled at Gitex
Visitors to Arab Business Machine's Gitex stand will be treated to a glimpse of Apple's brand new iMac G5 computer, a unique looking device that incorporates all of its components into its display.
Visitors to Arab Business Machine's (ABM) stand at Gitex will have the chance to check out Apple's brand new iMac G5 computer, a device that incorporates all of its components into the monitor unit. ABM hopes the G5 will go on to be as successful in the region as Apple's iPod MP3 player.
The iMac G5, which was launched recently at MacWorld in Europe, will be available in 17- and 20-inch wide-screen versions. The entire system is built around a G5-based logic board and includes a slot-loading optical drive, hard disk, speakers and power supply. More uniquely, all these components are housed inside the G5's pure white display.
"With its stunning design, the G5 is making its debut in the Middle East during Gitex," says Ghassan Bendali, product department manager, Arab Business Machines. "Apple is renowned for its attention to detail and simply produces the best looking products in the market, but Apple beauty is not just skin deep - Apple's products are extremely well designed from the inside out, so good looks are not all that's on offer."
In addition to the iMac G5, Arab Business Machines is planning to showcase Apple's full product range at Gitex, from the popular iPod audio player to its Xserve server. ABM's Gitex stand will feature different product sections, such as printing and imaging solutions, storage products, and Arabic and Islamic software solutions from different local and international vendors.
Bendali is keen to point out however, that the stand will not focus simply as a static showroom: "We have always been a "solution orientated" company, which is why you'll see on our stand that we're concentrating on solutions," explains Bendali. "We prefer to show you what to do with your computer than simply show you the computer."
