Dogan Media Group has deployed Cinegy’s Media Production Workflow to meet the requirements of the Dogan TV Centre, where the company’s drama, entertainment and news productions take place.

TV companies in the Dogan Media Group, Kanal D, CNNTurk, EuroD, Dream TV and two Cable TVs, relocated to Dogan TV Centre last year. The project, called IT/computer Based Broadcasting, was initiated with the aim to render all different tape formats and broadcast facilities which have been deployed by those TV channels, and implement a common infrastructure and format that all channels could use.

Parallel to this project, Dogan Media Group searched for a digital archive solution convenient for all Dogan TV channels. Cinegy proposed an IT solution that could support non-proprietary IT hardware and standard software as well as ingest, editing, archive and playout functionalities which are highly adaptive to emerging technologies.

Over 50 desktop production clients are concurrently and collaboratively in use gathering material from 13 simultaneous ingest feeds. The results are turned around in realtime and can be played to air immediately using Cinegy’s playout servers. Encoding, quality control, logging, metadata entry, editing and other common tasks are accomplished in real-time using the vendor’s software. All video and audio assets are stored in a central database at all times, which are automatically archived and fully searchable at all times.
