Regional distribution giant Aptec will pull out all the stops this Gitex to promote its credentials as a one-stop-shop capable of fulfilling the distribution needs of vendors and effectively serving resellers across the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and CIS.

“Gitex is a unique opportunity for Aptec to meet existing and potential customers in the region,” says Kamlesh Lal, marketing specialist at Aptec.

“It is also an ideal platform to evaluate and formulate business relationships with leading IT vendors,” he add.
With offices in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, Kuwait and Africa and a regional network of five strategically located warehouses, Aptec has rapidly increased its customer breadth across the region.

The distributor boasts a wide vendor portfolio, which is currently split into five strategic business units: networking, software, hardware, components and telecommunications.
As well as its volume distribution business, Aptec has also carved out a reputation as a value-added distributor. As part of this strategy, the company is assisting vendors such as Veritas Software and security specialist Symantec when it comes to building and supporting regional channel growth.

Aptec’s hardware unit works with a large number of principle vendors including Acer, APC, Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC), HP, IBM and US Robotics. The Dubai-based distributor’s components division also boasts a large number of agreements with multiple vendors, including BenQ, Hynix, Sapphire, Seagate and Western Digital.

Combining both value and volume products, Aptec offers a variety of services to support its regional reseller community.
These include e-commerce systems, online order tracking, web-based RMA, direct logistics services and same day delivery service in Dubai.

These services are further complemented by Middle East support desks and regional service centres, which Aptec runs on a 24/7 basis.

“The Middle East is the fastest growing market in the world and the opportunities are obvious,” says Lal.

“We will see strong growth in the coming years and Aptec is well-positioned to outperform the overall market growth,” he adds.
