AMD focuses on 64-bit computing

Not only will AMD be on its own stand in the Dubai Internet City Community at this year’s Gitex, but the chip manufacturer will also have a presence on its partners’ stands as it promotes its partner ecosystem and touts a number of its new products.

Not only will AMD be on its own stand in the Dubai Internet City Community at this year’s Gitex, but the chip manufacturer will also have a presence on its partners’ stands as it promotes its partner ecosystem and touts a number of its new products.

AMD sees the region’s largest IT trade show as the perfect platform to educate existing and potential customers. In particular, AMD will be focusing on its 64-bit solutions for servers and desktops and explaining how it can help users easily migrate to the 64-bit computing platform with the minimum of investment.

The vendor will also be showing its extensive range of mobile solutions and its latest value-brand solution, Sempron. AMD will also be sharing details on its EVP and Cool ‘n’ Quiet technologies.

“Gitex provides the right platform for a customer-centric company like AMD to interact with end users and partners to understand and adapt its technologies for the needs of this region,” says Pierre Brunswick AMD’s regional sales director for Russia-CIS, Middle East & Africa. “We believe this is a tremendous opportunity for AMD... For us it is a very fast growing market for desktops and notebooks. It is also, at a very high level, an opportunity for us to demonstrate our leadership in technology that helps end users optimise their competitiveness and reduce their TCO,” he adds.
