Far Eastern hardware giant promises to deliver its most comprehensive and innovative product line up ever at this year’s Gitex trade show.

BenQ Middle East is set to showcase its largest ever range of products at this year’s Gitex. Keen to capitalise on the event’s status as the region’s largest IT trade fair, the vendor also aims to increase exposure of its products to corporate decision-makers and home users.

Taking pride of place on the vendor’s stand in hall two will be its full range of Joybooks, digital projectors, digital cameras and LCD monitors and televisions. For those looking for entertainment, BenQ will also be showcasing its double layer DVD recorder, which offers unrivalled storage capacity and recording quality, along with full compatibility with playback machines.

In fact, the BenQ DW830A DL recorder’s 8.5Gbytes of data storage capacity means users can record up to 16 hours of VHS quality video or four hours of DVD quality video on a single disc. Developed in cooperation with Philips, the DW830A offers the best quality and highest storage volume currently available in a DVD recorder, according to BenQ.
Additionally, TV watchers will relish the chance to see BenQ’s range of LCD TVs. Introduced this year to meet the needs of the Middle East’s growing home-entertainment market, the vendor believes they will be a big hit come October 3.

“Gitex provides BenQ with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate its innovative, well-designed and affordable technology to business leaders and consumers,” says Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East.

With growing demand in the region for mobile computing products, BenQ also has high hopes for the latest addition to its Joybook range of laptop computers, the Joybook 6000. Equipped with the latest specifications for advanced business use, the Joybook 6000 brings BenQ’s digital hub technology, through which all forms of hardware, software and drivers are easily combined to address users’ potential compatibility problems.

“When the Joybook 6000 was introduced to the region earlier this year it quickly became one of our most desired products. As the world’s first 12.1-inch high definition wide-screen notebook computer, the Joybook 6000 has been popular with business people because it incorporates long-life battery power, wireless internet accessibility and easy projector attachment,” says Dung.
