Symantec will unveil its Network Security 7100 Series at Gitex 2004. The product family is the vendor’s first line of intrusion prevention appliances offering multi-gigabit intrusion protection and ‘One Click to Prevention’ capability. Symantec will also occupy a demonstration suite built to deliver one-on-one tailored demonstrations to customers. Situated on the first floor of the Sheikh Rashid Hall and staffed by technical engineers and managers from across the region, the room will showcase a number of leading appliances and technologies new to the Middle East, including an Arabic product launch that will be announced during the exhibition.

“Our customers have told us that in addition to comprehensive intrusion detection, high scalability and performance, and centralised management, they also want a solution that offers prevention they can control,” says Ivor Rankin, senior technical manager, Symantec Middle East and Africa. “Symantec Network Security 7100 Series is the first appliance to deliver on all of these needs, while also leveraging security intelligence,” he adds.
