Jordan based Specialized Technical Services (STS) has been awarded IBM Premier Software Partner status. The software services and solutions provider uses IBM’s WebSphere portal offering in its e-payment solution, PayONE. STS is the first Middle East partner to pick up this level of certification for IBM’s middleware WebSphere offering.
The certification level, part of IBM’s PartnerWorld for Software channel programme entitles STS to enhanced IBM support. STS employees can also download and deploy licenced products through the IBM network partner zone and benefit from IBM’s advanced ‘fly-through’ training system.
“It is a prestigious certification that recognises the outstanding customer service and technology expertise we provide through our e-business software division, BusinessONE,” said Ramzi Zeine, chairman at STS. “Strong channel support programmes such as these, along with IBM’s powerful portal middleware technology will help us expand our reach in the market and provide a better service to our customers.”
“STS has shown a great deal of commitment in adopting a business strategy that focuses on promoting their end-to-end solutions that run on IBM WebSphere portal technologies to small and large organizations alike,” said Bashar Kilani, manager of IBM Software Group, Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. “We are very pleased to have them on board as a Premier Software Partner, and look forward to working closely with them to ensure that they benefit from the education and marketing support the accreditation provides.”
PayONE has already been implemented in the payment gateways for Qatar Central Bank and Visa Jordan Card Services. STS has in excess of 190 staff and works with a host of major IT vendors including Microsoft, Sun, Dell and Cisco.
