Epson Middle East has unveiled its latest large format printer model, the Stylus Pro 4000, which is available in four different configurations.
This new A2 device has been launched to offer demanding print users a solution for outputting exhibition graphics, point of sales displays, fine art, photographs and printing proofs. Billed by Epson as offering "photo-quality output at high speed", the Stylus Pro 4000 features Epson’s MicroPiezo technology and UltraChrome ink, and can output prints up to A2 in size.
"With the rising demand for effective visual communications, there is a greater need for high quality wide format printers," said Khalil El-Dalu, general manager Epson Middle East. "In the Middle East, there has been a huge growth in outdoor media, because of conferences and trade events. Further, in the field of professional photography users are demanding better reproduction at lower costs."
This latest Stylus Pro release replaces the firm’s Stylus PRO 5000 and 5500 models and introduces an eight-colour ink system with a maximum print resolution of 2880 x 1440dpi.
The Stylus Pro 4000 comes in four configurations. The Stylus Pro 4000-C8 is aimed at the professional photographer, fine artist and proofing market, offering a wide colour gamut and light inks to allow reproduction of delicate and vivid colours. The 4000-PS adds PostScript for fine art production facility or design agency use via Macs or PCs. The 4000-Promo version offers the same specification as the 4000-C8, but with the addition of a Gretag EyeOne monitor (offered by Epson as a bundle for the next twelve months). The Promo also includes colour management software for semi-pro photographers and fine artists. Finally, Epson’s new Stylus Pro 4000-C4 is a four-colour unit designed for quick turnaround of prints for POS displays, posters, exhibition graphics and signage up to A2 in size. Both C8 and C4 configurations cost $2,450. Pricing for PostScript and Promo versions has yet to be confirmed.
