Public Wi-Fi solutions provider Pronto Networks has recruited Al-Jammaz Telecom as a distribution partner in Saudi Arabia.
Public Wi-Fi solutions provider Pronto Networks has recruited Al-Jammaz Telecom as a distributor in Saudi Arabia. Al-Jammaz is one of eight new distributors signed across the globe as Pronto rolls out its PartnerPower Programme. Al-Jammaz will resell Pronto’s back office public Wi-Fi products into target verticals including the communications and hospitality sector.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Pronto Networks to offer the leading OSS products for Wi-Fi deployments to our customers,” said Asim Al-Jammaz, vice president at network distribution specialist Al-Jammaz Telecom. “Pronto’s products are a great addition to our existing broadband portfolio. Given the considerable demand for Wi-Fi services in Saudi Arabia, especially within the hospitality sector, we’re rather optimistic about the potential sales of these products.”
“Demand for large scale, public Wi-Fi networks is growing around the globe and the timing couldn't be better for the launch of our PartnerPower Program,” said Eric Dentler, director of business development at Pronto Networks. “Working with our new reseller partners, Pronto Networks is enabling customers in both developing countries and tourist hot beds to implement the best platform for delivering wireless services today and prepare for the next generation of services tomorrow.”
The Pronto PartnerPower Programme aims to provide channel partners with the necessary sales tools, resources and support to push the Wi-Fi solutions to market. Benefits include secure access to a partner portal, marketing support and educational webinars.
Pronto’s initial distributor recruitment drive highlights the global nature of Wi-Fi deployment. Besides Al-Jammaz Telecom to serve the Saudi market, Pronto has also appointed distributors in the US, UK, Mexico, India and even Serbia and Montenegro.
Headquartered in California, Pronto offers a full suite of public Wi-Fi solutions including turnkey hotspot network appliance and carrier-grade Wi-Fi operations support systems software. The software handles provisioning, configuration, authentication, access control, security, pre-paid and post-paid billing, and roaming settlement for large public WLAN networks. Privately held Pronto is funded by BV Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and the Intel Communications Fund.
