DCA puts out Airwing work

Joint venture of Al Ghandi and Dutco Balfour Beatty win Dhs500 million contract

Dubai Department of Civil Aviation has awarded the Dubai Airwing facilities completion works to the joint venture of Al Ghandi & Consolidated Contractors International Company and Dutco Balfour Beatty LLC.

The contract is worth about Dhs500 million and involves the construction of eight hangars, royal terminal building, GSE support building and the main gate. The project has to be completed within ten months.

The AX 151 contract forms parts of Dubai International Airport Expansion (Phase II) under which the Royal Airwing is being relocated to the southeastern side of the Dubai International Airport near the intersection of Dubai Ring Road with Al Khawaneej Road. It is currently located at the western side of the air show premises.
