ASUS has introduced two new motherboards, the PSCH-L and PCH-DL, for the server and workstation markets. The solutions cover single-processor and dual-processor architectures.

ASUS has introduced two new motherboards, the PSCH-L and PCH-DL, covering both, single-processor and dual-processor architectures. The motherboards are designed to bring the advanced features needed to anchor server and workstation systems.

The PSCH-L is designed for pedestal server solutions and has six integrated Serial ATA channels and provides RAID 0, 1, 0+1 functions. The motherboard also uses two 64-bit PCI-X slots and three 32-bit PCI slots to allow a wide range of peripheral connections.

The PSCH-L is based on the new Intel E7210 chipset and can accommodate Pentium 4 processor up to 3.06GHz (Hyper-Threading ready) and a front side bus speed of 800MHz.

The PCH-DL is designed to be a lower cost solution. It supports a dual-Xeon architecture on 533MHz FSB and DDR 333 and integrates two 64-bit PCI-X slots and two 32-bit PCI slots. It also has an AGP 8x graphics cards, making it a option at workstation level as well.

The motherboards come with software bundled, including ASWM (ASUS System Web-Based Management), a unique software found only in ASUS solutions for system management and maintenance from remote locations, TrendMicro’s PC-Cillin and WinCinema multimedia.
