Lexmark unveils new printing range

Lexmark has announced it will launch a new range of colour printers and all-in-one devices in the Middle East by the end of March.

Lexmark has announced it will launch a new range of colour printers and all-in-one devices in the Middle East by the end of March.

One of the highlights from the new range is the X5250 all-in-one device. It uses the same printing technology as Lexmark’s Z815 colour printer and can print up to twenty pages per minute in black and white and fourteen in colour.

Also launching is the X422, a multifunction device capable of printing, copying, faxing and color scanning. "The Lexmark X422 is designed to take advantage of the growth occurring in the MFP market and the growing need for workflow improvement," said Eamon Ryan, Lexmark vice president and general manager of its Printing Solutions and Services Division in Europe.

"It makes it easier and more affordable for our customers to bring the full power of MFP functionality and workflow solutions to branch offices and closer to workgroups. And where the focus is on reducing cost by consolidating printers, copiers and fax machines, the X422 is the affordable answer."

No pricing details for the new range of products are available at present but all of the new range is compatible with Lexmark’s new photo print cartridge, No. 31. Despite the uninspiring name, Lexmark claims that the smear resistant pigmented ink technology in this cartridge will deliver superior photo prints.
