It’s a Far Cry from a typcial shooter as UbiSoft goes tropical with Jack Carver, a deadly boatman with a violent past.
UbiSoft, will release Far Cry, a first person shooter with an unlikely setting, in March. Usually these shooters are set in wartime or post apocalyptic doomscapes but this one takes place in the sunny South Pacific.
You are Jack Carver, and you are running your own boat charter business in beautiful Micronesia. With a violent past best left behind you, all you have to do is complete your assignment by escorting a journalist to the Island of Cabatu. Then things get complicated.
UbiSoft promises that the game features a new style of first person shooter (FPS) gameplay, with massive outdoor environments. The game also comes with a Sand box editor allowing you to create and edit your own terrain, foliage, textures, lighting effects, vehicles and missions.
