Nakheel builds on Oracle
Nakheel, the property development company behind The Palm Island and World Island has announced deploying Oracle software for all its investments in the region.
Nakheel, the property development company behind The Palm Island has announced deploying Oracle software across its business processes. The firm will implement three modules of Oracle's E-Business Suite - Oracle Financials, Oracle Property Manager and Oracle Telesales in its first phase of implementation.
In addition to the Palm Island, Nakleel is also deploying Oracle's applications to the rest of projects such as The World Island, Jumeirah Island, Jumeira Lake Towers, The Gardens, The Gardens Shopping Mall and International City.
The multi-billion dollar Palm Island project is expected to be visible from outer space with the naked eye, due to its vast scale and unique date-palm shape on completion. Nakheel claims the scale of the project is unparalleled: if all the fill materials used to build The Palm were placed end to end, they would create a wall two meters high and half a meter thick, circling the earth three times.
Oracle Property Manager which powers the Palm Island automation project, offers the ability to support lease execution from both the tenant and landlord perspectives and addresses the needs of corporate real estate management, commercial property management, retail/franchise operations and real estate investment trusts (REIT's).
“Service is proving to be a key differentiator in this region's increasingly competitive property sector. Palm Island's aggressive e-business project aims to achieve a more integrated approach by streamlining our internal business processes,” says Wahid Attala, operations director, Nakheel.
He adds that Oracle's Property Manager will provide them with a single, up-to-the-minute view of its client base, to create more targeted sales offerings and offer better service.
“Nakheel is an ideal example of a leading Middle East-based company rolling out a single, integrated solution to automate business processes, both externally and internally, for greater customer satisfaction as well as increased efficiency,” says Husam Dajani, vice president of Oracle Middle East.
Oracle Consulting has already signed up with other property development and management organisations such as Emaar Properties, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Al Ghurair Group and Seef Properties.
“Nakheel's selection of the Oracle Property Manager is enabling the leading property developer to manage customer interactions efficiently, analyse customer preferences and build a successful marketing, sales and service strategy,”says Arun Khehar, director, E-Business Suite, Oracle Middle East.
